A few statistics about housing in Ecueillé

Mr Marville and Mr Iacono's students have worked on statistics:
A few statistics about housing in Ecueillé

A few statistics about housing in Ecueillé

A few remarks about the Collège Calmette et Guérin students’housing

The rural and agricultural aspect can be seen in several ways.

The percentage of people who own their house is quite high, in comparison to the national average (68% for Ecueillé, 58% nationally) but it is in accordance to the “département” average. (The “départment” being smaller than the region, for us it is “Indre”).

Most people live in houses, mainly in farms and isolated houses located in the countryside.

The land that the families own is often vast in comparison to the land owned by people living in towns or cities.

A lot of people use firewood to heat their houses even if sometimes it is used in addition to electric heating. There are a lot of families who cut their firewood themselves in our region.

Families have got a lot of pets or other animals, thanks to the ground available around their houses.

If cats and dogs are very common - some families have got several of them –

a particularity of our rural area is the presence of a lot of animals which are very common in the countryside generally (rabbits, hens, sheep, geese, donkeys, squirrels, ducks…) and a few more exotic animals (tortoises, guinea pigs, parrots, gerbils, fish, snakes…)
