Part 4 : Visit to Spain.
From October 13th to October 20th, 8 little ambassadors from Greece, 6 from Turkey, 12 from England and 10 from France, accompanied by their teachers, visited Galicia and more particularly A Coruna where their partner school in Spain, Colegio Santo Domingo, is.
After discovering Colegio Santo Domingo and the magnificent view from its roof terrace, they visited the city of A Coruna with its typical "modernist" houses, its huge port, the Tower of Hercules, the Aquarium Finisterrae also called the House of Fish and the beautiful sea front.
They also went to Betanzos on the Sunday where they discovered a nice market town busy with the traditional market.
On the Tuesday, they went to Santiago de Compostella, the beautiful medieval city where they visited the cathedral (they even went on the roof to catch a view of the city), the university of history and geography (with the American library and the old library) and had lunch in a magnificent convent room.
On the Wednesday, each ambassadors team made an oral presentation in front of the Spanish students : that was a great moment!
All this was made possible thanks to the brilliant organisation of Maria José Del Castillo, a teacher at Colegio Santo Domingo in charge of the Erasmus+ project Home Sweet Home there and also thanks to her colleagues Silvia, Jorge, Mar and David, and the headmistress of the school, Mrs Maria Fernanda Bouza.
We have also to thank the Spanish families who welcomed all the little ambassadors in a generous and fantastic way!
